Cloud, as he is affectionately called, is the next Grand Prize Horse offered during the second WikiHorseWorld.com "Free Fox Trotter Contest", which runs from February 1, 2010 thru September 30, 2010.  He is a Registered Missouri Fox Trotter, registered with the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Breed Association, under the name of "Savannah's Crimson Cloud".

 

Cloud has just completed 30 days of refresher training, and is off to a great start...

Sunrise Pedro (Sunny) was the Grand Prize Horse offered during the very first WikiHorseWorld.com Free Fox Trotter Contest (Which ended on 12/31/09). 

 

Sunny has found his new home with the wonderful family of WikiHorseWorld's Member and New Friend, Tomkait!! Tomkait won Sunny in WikiHorseWorld's very first "Free Fox Trotter Contest" which ended on December 31, 2009.  Tomkait won Sunny simply by taking the time to contribute lots of high quality content to the WikiHorseWorld website. Thanks for the hard work and we know Sunny has a great new home!

 

Tomkait trains her horses using the "Parelli" method and looks forward to playing the Parelli "Seven Games" with Sunny.  She also hopes to show Sunny in Ava, Missouri later this year. 

 

WikiHorseWorld wishes Sunny and his new family every happiness and success throughout the years.

Great News for all of our Members! Due to the recent flood of new WikiHorseWorld members, we have decided to extend the Free Horse Contest entry period until September 30, 2010, to give all of our new members a chance to participate. Therefore, all content added to the website during the period of February 1, 2010 through September 30, 2010 will be counted. Good Luck Everyone!

Hey Everyone:

Cloud has been in "Refresher Training" for 30 days now and will return to us on Tuesday, July 6, 2010.  His trainer, Christy Mellington of Bolivar, Missouri, says that Cloud is doing great;  he loves a good trail ride, is very smart, and willing to learn.  Cloud is considered "Green Broke" and will require additional training to finish him.  He is a sensitive horse and requires a patient and gentle hand.  Christy loves bringing the horse and rider together and strongly recommends that the individual who wins Cloud should consider taking a few classes with him to help insure a perfect match between horse and rider.

Cloud is a stunning Missouri Fox Trotter registered as "Savannah's Crimson Cloud" with the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Breed Association (MFTHBA) #05-85916.  To view Cloud's Pedigree Chart, Click Here, and to

Cloud was born on 03/20/05 and he's a sorrel and white Sabino gelding with one blue eye.  He stands aproximately 15.2 hands tall.  His outstanding bloodline includes Zane Grey, Toddy's Perfection, Mack K's Yankee, The Pusher, Mack K's Shepherd, Mr. President, and others. 

Cloud is very intelligent, has great confirmation, and an easy "naturally smooth" gait. He is easy to catch, leads and loads well, and loves grooming. Cloud stands calmly and patiently for the farrier, vet, and all maintenance.

 

Cloud has over 60 days "Under the Saddle" and will have an additional 30 days of intense training before his new owner (The next lucky WikiHorseWorld Grand Prize Winner) takes him home. However, Could is and should be considered "Green Broke" and requires additional professional training before he can be ridden safely.

During WikiHorseWorld.com's first Free Fox Trotter Contest (Which ended on 12/31/09), Sunrise Pedro (Sunny) prepared to meet the WikiHorseWorld.com Member who would become his new owner.  This Post talks a little about Sunny and his Refresher Training in preparation for that day.

On 12/22/2009 Sunny's Performing Well in Training

Sunny, the next Grand Prize in WikiHorseWorld's Free Fox Trotter Contest (ending 12/31/2009), is doing a spectacular job during his 30 day refresher training course!

 

WikiHorseWorld has placed Sunny, the next Grand Prize in WikiHorseWorld's Free Fox Trotter contest, into a 30 refresher training course to prepare him to meet his new owners. Sunny is now almost three weeks into his training course and the trainer reports that he's doing beautifully! He's leading, loading, and riding like a champ. Sunny stands calm and quiet while tied for grooming, farrier, and other maintenance, and while being saddled. When riding, he moves out with confidence, turns and stops well, and has even learned to "back up" nicely.

Sunny has also been ridden along side of the road and has handled traffic, wild turkey, deer, and other potential distractions with no problems.

 

The trainer has remarked that Sunny learns quickly and is very eager to please. We expect that Sunny will make a wonderful riding companion and this 30 day refresher training course will provide his new owner (the Contest Winner) with a great "Training Foundation" on which to build.

 

P.S. We want to emphasize that even though Sunny is receiving an additional 30 days of training, he should still be considered "Green Broke" and his new owners will need to provide additional training before Sunny can be ridden safely.

 

ON 12/07/2009 Sunny, the next Grand Prize in WikiHorseWorld's Free Fox Trotter Contest, has begun a 30 day "Refresher Training Course" to prepare him to meet his new owners.

 

WikiHorseWorld is currently running a Free Fox Trotter Contest where a free registered Missouri Fox Trotter will be awarded to the WikiHorseWorld member who posts the most high-quality content onto our Website by 12/31/2009. We expect to award this horse to some hard working WikiHorseWorld member sometime in January 2010. In preparation of this, Sunny, the next Grand Prize in WikiHorseWorld's Free Fox Trotter Contest, began a 30 day "Refresher Training Course" on 12/1/2009 to brush up on all his ground work and riding skills.

On 12/1/09 we brought Sunny to one of the very best local trainers to insure that he's at his very best when he meets his new owners, the winner's of this contest. When we brought him over to the trainer, he loaded on to the trailer wonderfully! Sunny behaved so well on his first day of training that his trainer called to inform us that he'd began riding Sunny within 1 ½ hours of his arrival.

 

By 12/6/2009 Sunny's training was progressing beautifully.

 

Sunny has also been shod so that he and his trainer can broaden their rides to include some rough terrain to enhance his experience and skills. While being shod, Sunny stood for the farrier calmly and handled it perfectly. So, Sunny's new owners won't need to worry about shoes for a while. During the next few weeks, Sunny will be re-introduced to traffic, motors, dogs, deer, turkey and other potential items of concern to insure that he gives his new owners the most enjoyable and safest rides possible. Stay tuned for more news on Sunny's progress during his refresher training course.
