Our new horse which was a rescue has a habit of chewing wood in his stall..so bad that I have went to measures of keeping him outside as much as possible..been feeding him in a medal round pen so that there is no wood involved..he is ok then.. I bought a supplement by farnam for wood chewing..just tried the first day today..what do you recommend. Just found your site today..His past was that he was locked up in a stall for 2 years and starved, never to see the outside until 2. He was afraid of the outside. Now he is desensitized that he is not afraid of anything & loves people. My daughter rides him in english, but still a wood chewer. Does this come from being starved in a stall for 2 years, or is he lacking minerals. Thank You!
