Win a registered Missouri Fox Trotter!
Free Horse Contest - Summary

Post Content - Win a Horse!
WikiHorseWorld.com (WikiHorseWorld) wants to be the premier equine website where all horse-lovers go to learn about, talk about, buy, sell and trade horses. We need your help to add lots of great content to the WikiHorseWorld website, and we can make it worth your while!
Throughout 2009 and 2010 we will be giving away free registered Missouri Fox Trotters to WikiHorseWorld members who help build the WikiHorseWorld.com website by adding high-quality and accurate content to our website. In celebration of WikiHorseWorld's Grand Opening in 2009, WikiHorseWorld will be giving away a Registered Missouri Fox Totter Horse absolutely free of charge (subject to the below contest rules) approximately once every 3 - 5 months through the end of 2010. We are doing this to reward WikiHorseWorld members who have added significant amounts of new high-quality content of almost any sort, in almost any area of the Website. We hope to provide a strong incentive for users to join and participate in the website as well as demonstrate our commitment to horses, WikiHorseWorld, and its members. Click here to read more about the next Grand Prize (Cloud). We need you to add as much high-quality content as possible to WikiHorseWorld. You can write an article about horses or start a blog. You can post pictures or videos. You can add to the Pedigree database or participate in Forums. Just about any contribution you make to the website counts toward your "body of work" in adding content. The member who posts the most new, high-quality, and accurate content can win a beautiful registered Missouri Fox Trotter! Remember you're competing against all other WikiHorseWorld members and the member who adds the most unique, new, accurate, and high-quality content will Win (see below restrictions).
There are five ways you can add items of content to the website and enter the contest:
1. Wiki articles which are substantive and contain photos or videos;
2. Entries of registered horses into the pedigree database;
3. Active Classified Ads being displayed on the website
4. Equine community content such as horse-related photos, videos, or stories;
5. Horse-related forum or blog entries.
A Note about Content Quality
The purpose of this contest is to increase the amount of new, high-quality, and accurate content on the WikiHorseWorld website. Winning contestants will be those who post the most high-quality, new, unique, and accurate content not simply the most content. Eligible contest entries will follow these guidelines:
- Wiki Articles: Share your knowledge about Horses by creating or significantly enhancing Wiki Articles using our easy to use "What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) editor. Articles should be of high-quality, detailed, and accurate. Photos or videos are a huge plus in any article and will influence the judging and selection of the final contest winner.
- Pedigree Database Entries: Accurate and detailed pedigree data for registered horses including entries of the Horse's name, gender, breed, registration information, and it's Sire/Dam. Adding additional information on pedigree Detail Pages including photos, videos, and lots of other details and stats will count as a separate/additional item of content for the contest and will influence the judging and selection of the final contest winner.
- Classified Ads: Active Classified Ad being displayed on the website for Horses or Equine Products, Services, or Events. Adding lots of photos, videos, and other details will significantly increase the value of each Classified Ad and will influence the judging and selection of the final contest winner. Classified Ads are currently free so create as many valid and high-quality Ads as you wish.
- Equine Community Content: Add Horse-related Photos, Videos, and Stories (fiction or non-fiction). Start a Group, create Polls, and participate in organizing various community Events.
- Forum or Blog entries: Get to know other Members; ask questions, or share your knowledge by creating detailed and accurate horse-related forum or blog entries.
A Note about Content Quantity
In the Official Contest Rules, WikiHorseWorld requires contestants to post a minimum of 40 items of content to enter the contest. Please remember that you are competing against all other WikiHorseWorld members and typically, only posting the required minimum number of content items WILL NOT win the contest. So have fun, get involved, and add as many items of high-quality content as possible (during the contest entry period) to enrich WikiHorseWorld.com and hopefully win yourself a beautiful registered Missouri Fox Trotter Horse.
How to Enter
First, get busy adding new, unique, and high-quality content to the WikiHorseWorld.com website. Be sure to keep track of each and every individual item of content you add to the website between February 1, 2010 and September 30, 2010. You must add at least 40 new and unique items of high-quality content during the contest period to be eligible. Then, in a single email, send us a detailed and itemized list of all the content you've added. We will review all contest entries and choose the three finalists whose "body of work" represents the highest-quality contest entries. The highest-ranking finalist will then be contacted to confirm that the finalist has a suitable facility for the horse and make arrangements to pick-up the horse. If we determine that the highest-ranking finalist is unable to provide a suitable home for the horse, then the horse will be awarded to the next highest-ranking finalist who can provide a suitable home.
Simply send your contest entry email to the WikiHorseWorld member name of FreeHorseContest using your WikiHorseWorld email account. After you've logged into WikiHorseWorld.com, just click on Community (at the top), My Mail (on the left), and then on Write (at the top). If a contestant submits more than one Contest Entry during the Contest Period, only the latest-dated Contest Entry will be judged (counted).
Important Note about Copyrights
You are responsible to make sure that you are not posting copyrighted material from other websites. You will not receive credit for content that was borrowed or copied from other websites against their Terms of Use or in violation of their copyright agreements. Important Note about Horses
Like you, we are horse lovers and nothing would trouble us more than if our horses did not go to a good home. The horses we have selected to give away for this contest are very valuable, very well-cared for, and very well-loved, so we must be certain that their new owners (the Winners) have the ability to take very good care of the horse. Although the contest is open to any WikiHorseWorld member, we can only award the horse to a finalist who has the time, experience, money, and facilities to take good care of a horse. Before the horse is awarded, finalists must be able to demonstrate that they can give a horse the home it needs and deserves.
As much as we want to place a horse with one of our loyal members, the horse's health and welfare must be our foremost concern. We learned the hard way how important it is that our horses go to a good home. Click here to read the sad story of Bo and learn why we take our horse's "homes" so very seriously.
