Information Collected and Used by WikiHorseWorld.com
Our primary purpose in collecting personal information is to provide you with a safe, efficient, and customized experience. By simply visiting and viewing the Website, WikiHorseWorld will not collect any personally-identifying information about you. When you register for a Member Account, WikiHorseWorld will collect a username, password, a valid email address, and perhaps other non-personally-identifying information. During account creation, you may also be invited to enter optional personally-identifying information such as your name, address, and telephone number. WikiHorseWorld's sole purpose in collecting any such personally-identifying information is to automate creation of Classified Ads and the checkout process when purchasing goods or services from WikiHorseWorld. Choosing not to enter certain information in your Member Profile may affect the operation of certain features of the Website (e.g. Member Search) or require you to re-enter information each time you check out or create a Classified Ad.
WikiHorseWorld routinely logs IP addresses, Member Profile information, aggregate user data, and browser type from Members and visitors to the Website. This data is used to manage the Website, track usage, automate checkout and Classified Ad creation, and improve our Website products and services. User IP addresses are recorded for security and monitoring purposes. We may also store community discussions, email, chats, entries into Blogs and Forums, and all other correspondence posted on or through our Website, and all correspondence sent to us. We may also use a Member's email address to send updates, a newsletter, or news regarding the Website. Members may choose not to receive email of this type by following the simple instructions included in each such email.
Privacy
WikiHorseWorld will not sell, share, rent or otherwise distribute your personal information to any third party at any time for any reason except as outlined in the Disclosure of Information section below. We store and process your information on servers located in the United States that are protected by encryption, passwords, and physical security to prevent your personal information from being disclosed or accessed without authorization. WikiHorseWorld also uses third parties to verify and certify our privacy principles. Despite our precautions, however, third parties may unlawfully access our servers, intercept transmissions or private communications, or human error or software abnormalities ("bugs") may result in the inadvertent disclosure of a user's personal information. In the unlikely event of an accidental disclosure of personal information, users will be notified via email about the nature and extent of the disclosure.
Therefore, although WikiHorseWorld works very hard to protect your privacy, we cannot and do not guarantee the privacy or confidentiality of your personal information and we expressly disclaim any and all liability in connection with the disclosure of some or all of your personal information for any reason. WikiHorseWorld does not promise and you should not expect that your personal information or private communications will always remain private. If you object to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please discontinue use of our Website immediately.
