Blue Riband Trial Stakes

The Blue Riband Trial Stakes is a flat horse race in Great Britain which is open to three-year-old Thoroughbreds. It is run at Epsom Downs over a distance of 1 mile, 2 furlongs and 18 yards (2,028 metres), and it is scheduled to take place each year in late April.

The event serves as an early-season trial for the Derby Stakes (flat racing's "Blue Riband"), which is held at the same venue in early June. Blue Peter achieved victory in both races in 1939, but in recent years the trial has produced a limited number of contenders for the Derby.

The 2010 running was backed by the Derby sponsor Investec, and it was titled the Investec Derby Trial.
