NMDA
The National Miniature Donkey Association is a nonprofit organization founded in 1989.  The Association's goals are to protect and promote the Miniature Mediterranean breed and to provide an educational forum for owners and breeders on donkey care and management.  The NMDA publishes a quarterly magazine, the ASSET, which they include with membership.  Upcoming Shows and Show results can be found on the NMDA website.

There are over 56,000 registered Miniature Donkeys in the United States alone, and many of them compete at a variety of sanctioned shows around the country.  Miniature donkey exhibitors and breeders show their donkeys in an ongoing effort to produce animals with the most excellent conformation, athletic ability, and superior disposition.  These are just a few of the top associations and clubs around the globe.

D.A.B.S.A. The Donkey All Breeds Society of Australia Inc. has evolved from what was originally the 'English Donkey Society of Australia Inc.', which was founded in 1976. Since that time it has grown to encompass all Donkey Breeds of Australia, in order to cater for the growing interest in this wonderful animal, the preservation of Australia's heritage breed, and the integrity of imported Donkey breeds imported to Australia. More on the history of D.A.B.S.A can be found here.

The main focus of the Society is to preserve the different breeds and types of Donkeys and Mules in Australia by maintaining accurate Registries and Stud Books for each breed and type, and also to promote the qualities of these versatile and personable animals. Please see the D.A.B.S.A. website for Show information.

DMSNZ The Donkey & Mule Society of New Zealand is the only National Breed Organization in New Zealand for Donkeys and Mules of all types. It administers the Donkey & Mule Society of New Zealand Register which includes mammoth, standard, miniature donkeys and mules. It provides up-to-date information on donkey care and practical advice on training.  Please visit the DMSNZ website for Show information.

Please note that the above Donkey Shows and Associations are highly respected and completely dedicated to the well being of Donkeys and Mules and should not be confused with the results you might find when searching the Internet for terms such as Mexican Donkey Shows or Mexican Donkey Show Pics. Mexican Donkey Shows are typically associated with adult or pornographic content.
