Eagle Mountain (horse)


Eagle Mountain (born February 25, 2004) is a racehorse, sired by seven-time group one winner Rock of Gibraltar (horse) and trained by Mike de Kock.

Aged two, he won the Beresford Stakes Grade 2, finished second in the Futurity Stakes in Ireland. and finished second in the Champagne Stakes.. Aged three he won the Royal Whip Stakes Grade 2, finished second in the 2007 Epsom Derby and finished second both the Champion Stakes and York Stakes Grade 2. Aged four he was sold and Mike De Kock trained him for South Africa. He went on to win the Joel Stakes Grade 3, was set to run in the Breeders' Cup Turf. Afterwards, he went was in the Hong Kong Cup, and won it by 1 1/4 lengths.
