The Falmouth Stakes is a Group 1 flat horse race in Great Britain which is open to thoroughbred fillies and mares aged three years or older. It is run on the July Course at Newmarket over a distance of 1 mile (1,609 metres), and it is scheduled to take place each year in early July.

The event is named in honour of Evelyn Boscawen, the 6th Viscount Falmouth, who was a leading racehorse owner and breeder in the 19th century. It was established in 1911, and it was originally restricted to three-year-old fillies only.

The present system of race grading was introduced in 1971, and the Falmouth Stakes was initially classed at Group 3 level. It was first opened to older fillies and mares in 1974. Child's Bank began sponsoring the event in 1975, and it became known as the Child Stakes. It was reclassed as a Group 2 race in 1987, and after the withdrawal of its sponsor it reverted to its original name in 1992.

The Falmouth Stakes was promoted to its current status, Group 1, in 2004. It is presently held on the opening day of Newmarket's three-day July Festival meeting.
