Frühjahrs Dreijährigen-Preis

The Frühjahrs Dreijährigen-Preis is a Group 3 flat horse race in Germany which is open to three-year-old thoroughbreds. It is run at Frankfurt over a distance of 2,000 metres (about 1¼ miles), and it is scheduled to take place each year in late April or early May.

The event was first run in 1965, and it was originally titled the Adolf Schindling-Rennen. This was in memory of Adolf Schindling (1887–1963), a Frankfurt-born businessman who founded the company VDO, and who owned the successful stud farm Gestüt Asta. The race was given Group 3 status in 1982, and since then it has been known by several different sponsored titles. It is presently backed by Bankhaus Metzler, and it is run as the Frühjahrspreis des Bankhaus Metzler.
