Goodwood Handicap

For the American horse race called the Goodwood Handicap, see: Goodwood Stakes.

The Goodwood Handicap is a Group 1 Australian Thoroughbred horse race, run at set weights with penalties, over a distance of 1200 metres at Morphettville Racecourse, Adelaide in April. Before 2006 the race was held in May.

Race history

As from 2007 the race will revert to a set weights and penalties event after previously being a handicap race throughout its 121-year history and was renamed The Goodwood.
