Gran Criterium

The Gran Criterium is a Group 1 flat horse race in Italy which is open to two-year-old thoroughbred colts and fillies. It is run at San Siro, Milan, over a distance of 1,600 metres (about 1 mile), and it is scheduled to take place each year in October.

It is the only Group 1 race in Italy for juvenile horses. Past winners include Nearco (1937) and Ribot (1954).
