The Henkel-Trophy is a Group 2 flat horse race in Germany which is open to thoroughbreds aged three years or older. It is run at Düsseldorf over a distance of 1,600 metres (about 1 mile), and it is scheduled to take place each year in early August.
The event was established in 1991, and it was originally held at Hoppegarten. It was initially classed at Group 3 level, and it was promoted to Group 2 status in 1994. During its period at Hoppegarten it was called the "Berlin-Brandenburg-Trophy".
The race was transferred to Cologne in 2005, and it was run for two seasons as the "Pferdewetten.de-Trophy". For the following two years it took place at Hanover, where it was titled the "ICT-Eslam-Trophy" (2007) and the "Grosser Preis der Sparkasse Hannover" (2008). It was due to be run at Hanover again in 2009, but it was switched instead to Düsseldorf, where it was sponsored by Henkel.
