Ian McEwen Trophy

The Ian McEwen Trophy is a Group 3 Australian thoroughbred horse race for horses aged 3 years old and over at weight for age, over a distance of 1000m.

It is held at Moonee Valley Racecourse in Melbourne.

The race was named in honour of former Moonee Valley Racing Club secretary Ian McEwen.

1997 onwards held over 1000m.

1997–2005 was a Listed Race
2006 onwards Group 3

1997 onwards the race has been called the ‘Ian McEwen Trophy’
