The King George Stakes is a Group 2 flat horse race in Great Britain which is open to thoroughbreds aged three years or older. It is run at Goodwood over a distance of 5 furlongs (1,006 metres), and it is scheduled to take place each year in late July or early August.

The event was established in 1911, and it was named in honour of the new British monarch, King George V, whose coronation took place that year.

The King George Stakes has been sponsored by Audi since 2005, and it is now also known as the "Audi Stakes". It was promoted to Group 2 status in 2010, having been classed previously at Group 3 level. [1]

The race is held during the five-day Glorious Goodwood meeting, and the leading participants often go on to compete in the Nunthorpe Stakes.
