Pilsudski (born 1992) is a British thoroughbred racehorse. Out of the mare Cocotte, he was sired by Polish Precedent, a son of Champion sire Danzig and named after Józef Piłsudski (1867-1935) a famous Polish politician known for his love for horses.
Raced by Lord Weinstock, Pilsudski won turf races on three continents. In 1996, he won conditions races in Ireland, the Breeders' Cup Turf at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Canada, the Grosser Preis von Baden at Iffezheim Racecourse in Baden-Baden, Germany. In 1997 he won the Japan Cup at short odds. In both 1996 and 1997, he was second in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. Pilsudski earned the 1997 Cartier Award for Top European Older Horse.
Retired from racing, Pilsudski stood at stud at the Shizunai Stallion Station at Hokkaidō in Japan until 2003 when he was purchased by the Irish National Stud and Anngrove Stud in Mountmellick, County Laois, Ireland where he stands.
