Rainbow Quest (1981-2007) was a British Thoroughbred racehorse and Champion broodmare sire. Bred in Kentucky by British businessman, Alan Clore, he was a descendant of the great Nearco through both his dam, I Will Follow, and his Champion sire, Blushing Groom.

Trained by Jeremy Tree, jockey Pat Eddery rode Rainbow Quest to important wins in the 1984 Great Voltigeur Stakes and in 1985 in the Group One Coronation Cup and for the most important win of his career, the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp Racecourse in Paris which he won after Sagace, who finished first by a neck, was disqualified from first to second for twice interfering with Rainbow Quest as the two battled head-to-head in the final three hundred yards.
