The Royal Sovereign Stakes is a Group 2 Australian Thoroughbred horse race, for 3 year-old colts and geldings, over a distance of 1200 metres.

It is held annually at Randwick Racecourse in Sydney, Australia.

1981 – 1995 was a Group 3
1996 onwards Group 2.
