SA Fillies Classic

The SA Fillies Classic is a Group 3 Australian Thoroughbred horse race for fillies aged three years old, over a distance of 2500 metres.

It is held annually at Morphettville Racecourse in Adelaide.

  • 1973 - 1984 held over 2000 metres
  • 1986 - 1994 held over 2400 metres
  • 1995 onwards held over 2500 metres

  • 1951 – 1979 was a Principal Race
  • 1980 – 2004 was a Group 1
  • 2005 – 2006 was a Group 2
  • 2007 onwards Group 3

Name

  • 1951 – 2008 the race was called the ‘South Australian Oaks’
  • 2009 onwards the race has been called the ‘SA Fillies Classic’
