Inglis Mile

The Inglis Mile is a Moonee Valley Racing Club Group 3 Australian Thoroughbred horse race for mares aged 4 years old and upwards under handicap conditions, over a distance of 1600 metres.

It is held annually at Moonee Valley Racecourse in Melbourne.

1990 onwards held over 1600m.

1990–1993 was a Listed Race
1980 onwards Group 3

1990 the race was known as the ‘BMW Australia Stakes’
1991 - 1992 the race was known as the ‘Dalgety Breeders’ Plate’
1993 the race was known as the ‘BMW Plate’
1994 - 2004 the race was known as the ‘Tesio Stakes’
2005 onwards the race has been called the ‘Inglis Mile’.
